Baked Blog

Yes, you read me right, it is now possible to get Baked! shipped from the crossroads of America right to your front door! In celebration of this monumentus event, I’ll will be giving away gift certificates to said store.  However, in order to prevent the riff-raff from bogarting all the goods, I’m gonna want some sort of letter describing why you (of all people) deserve to get Baked! (pictures don’t hurt).  I will most likely be shooting for $40 denominations, although if the story is particularly heavy or lame, I reserve the right the raise or lower the amount, respectively.

Need I really say anything more?
Many Many thanks go toward Evan Lipton and Kevin Beauchamp for revamping the main site and designing the online shop, respectively. In the meantime, said online store should be up and running soon, as I’m really only waiting on a security certificate to show my site’s secure connection.

Also, now that the site’s been redone, I’ve decided to put up some pictures of the store as it is now with how it looked when I first signed the lease. As soon as i can figure out how to install this gallery software, those pictures, as well as any other I get e-mailed should make it up there soon.

And…finally, one more thing:
I really want to thank all of you loyal BakedHeads out there that have been supporting us since we first opened our doors two summers ago. However, I’ve recently found that apperently we’ve gotten pretty popular these past couple weeks or so and before I had a chance to cope with the demand we got hit pretty hard with a bunch of orders all at once, which caused our delivery times to be totally unreasonable these past few weekends. Please don’t fret though; I’ll be working with my sheriffs and bakers and drivers to restructure the shifts this week, as well as most likely taking on some new help. Please bear with us until we finish fine-tuning our labor–Baked! would be absolutely nothing without her diehard, loyal fans.

On that note, I’ve worked in quite a few food places in my day, and all of you are the most eclectic, diverse group of people I or the rest of the store have or will ever encounter. I can’t tell how many people mention in passing how much they like the atmosphere of the store and try to congratulate me. But look around you! One only has to stare at the boxes on the wall to see that Baked wouldn’t be half the place it is today without her fan base. Keep up the good fight, and stay outta trouble. Got something to say? Funny Youtube video? Something that you think looks like blood in your cookies? (Actually Red Cream in the Christman Oreos)Send me an e-mail or something and maybe I’ll post it onto this here blog.

Mark your calenders now!: April 19th, 2008, the 3rd anneversary of the idea that was to become Baked! to celebrate, we’ll be giving out free warm, fresh chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven and into your hands all day until the sun goes down at our store on 7th st. sure can’t wait, can you?
